ITU / ITSO Training on Satellite Communications

ABOUT

The training is part of a capacity building partnership between the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO) on Satellite telecommunications. It will take place in Asuncion, Paraguay at Pte. Franco Nº 780 y Ayolas, Building Ayfra from 22 to 26 April 2019â€‹.

PURPOSE

During the training, participants with have depth understanding of Satellite systems and protocols, VSAT concepts, satellite communications systems, technologies and protocols, as well as, the policy and regulatory issues, including the role of the regional and international satellite communications organizations working in this domain.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This workshop will target engineers, technicians, as well as, managers from ITU Member States, ITU-D Sector Members, Associates and Academia, Regional Organizations in the Americas Region, National Regulatoâ€‹ry Authorities of ITU Member States that work in the field of Satellite Telecommunications.â€‹â€‹

IMPORTANT

At the end of the training there will be an evaluation. To receive the certificate, attendees should comply both: pass the evaluation with at least 80% and have at least 60% of attendance.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Venue: Pte. Franco Nº 780 y Ayolas. Building Ayfra (CONATEL).

Date: 22 to 26 April 2019.

Note: The training will be in Spanish, no interpretation will be provided.

*** Each attendee should bring a Laptop.
*** First day will be delivered the material.
*** To receive the certificate at least 60% of attendance is required.
