HAPS International Seminar (HAPS2019), 2nd Annual Seminar
09 September 2019 - Berita IICF

I. BACKGROUND
Broadband telecommunication service represents one of the most important aspects for nations which are basing its social and economic lives upon information, through the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) for its economic development. The ICT’s positive impact on innovation, productivity, trade, employment, foreign investment, economic growth and, consequently a country’s competitiveness, has been widely acknowledged, proved and documented both in the developed and developing countries.
As a conclusion, therefore HAPS should be considered as alternative for resolving different requirements in countries like Indonesia with configuration as in the following figure. One might reaffirm that such platform is to be exploited for delivering Broad-Band Communications in remote areas, remote sensing images in certain particular areas which needs to be portrayed at higher accuracy as well as for sharp targeted geo-localization. This could be areas whereby security control is extremely important to prevent such as trafficking and/or keeping border points integrity.

Future Rural Broadband Connectivity, Disaster Recovery, Remote Sensing and GeoLocalization: Opportunities and Challenges on Technologies, Applications and Regulation.
