Shanghai, China, 5-7 June 2019.
The integration of quantum physics and information technology has forged the so-called quantum information technology (QIT), which could be categorized in three major subject areas:
- quantum communication
- quantum computation, and
- quantum metrology.
QIT has promoted the booming of the second quantum revolution and will surely have a profound impact on ICT networks.
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is organizing a workshop on Quantum Information Technology (QIT) for Networks from 5-7 June 2019 at Sheraton Grand Shanghai Pudong Hotel & Residences, in Shanghai, China. The workshop will be hosted by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Institute of Quantum Information and Quantum Technology Innovation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences Holdings Co., Ltd, and CAS Quantum Network, Co., Ltd. and QuantumCTek Co., Ltd. as co-organizers.
The workshop will open at 0930 hours on 5 June 2019 and will be held in English only.
